Very fine details, shading or &#x2018;soft&#x2019; transitions can therefore come out looking a little different from the original file.</p><h3 id="2-size-and-engraving-area-are-limited">2) Size and engraving area are limited</h3><p>A pendant or ring only offers a certain surface. If the template is very detailed, lines have to be <strong>adjusted slightly</strong> so they don&apos;t run together or look messy at a small size.</p><h3 id="3-photo-quality-makes-a-big-difference">3) Photo quality makes a big difference</h3><p>Blurry, dimly lit or low-contrast templates (for example prints with shadows, shaky photos, glossy paper) can make the result look different from what you expected.</p><h3 id="4-material-and-finish-play-a-part">4) Material and finish play a part</h3><p>Depending on the material, coating and finish (for example polished, matte, gold-plated), the engraving can appear <strong>more or less pronounced</strong>.
